November Update
- Winnipeg Men hits the streets in and around November 22. In this
issue, I'm the proverbial guinea pig as I head to a hot yoga class
for an exploration of the new fitness phenomenon that many men still
dread.
- Topps Heritage IV debuts this month, featuring my cardback writing.
Once again I put the checklists together as well.
- The Hockey Hall of Fame program is out now, following the November
10 induction of the Class of 2008.
- New work over the last couple months includes creating the new
website for Western Kosher. Link will be up once the site is complete.
September Update
- Winnipeg Men has
now hit the streets. The September/October edition includes articles
I wrote about Craig
Heisinger and Arni Thorsteinson.
- The big project announcement should be happening soon...I hope.
- Next month will see the release of Topps Heritage IV.
- I'm getting back into the video game review side of the industry,
with a
look at NHL 2K9
August Update
- After appearing on Breakfast Television in July, I made a
guest appearance on the Ace Burpee Show on HOT 103.1, in early August
to help promote the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg blood donor clinic.
- My weekly check-in time on The Great Canadian Talk Show on 92.9
Kick FM appears to now permanently be moving to Fridays around
4:50. Marty's show is going to be expanding to 1:30. Does this mean
I'll get more time to vent about the Bombers each week? Tune in
to find out.
- Look for an interview in the coming days with "Diamond"
Dallas Page on SLAM! Wrestling, a very special look at the King
Clancy Memorial Trophy in the Hockey Hall of Fame's yearbook and
a couple interesting articles coming up in Winnipeg Men Magazine
in the coming months.
July Update
- Anyone new to jonwaldman.com
has probably come here as a result of my tease of a secret project
that I mentioned in my bio in Winnipeg Men Magazine (if so, welcome,
and if you didn't see it, pick up your copy now!). The ink is drying
on this announcement as we speak and I should be able to release
details shortly. In the interim, be sure to head to your local hobby
store and snag your box of Topps WWE Ultimate Rivals. This set is
my pride and joy, as I wrote the backs, picked the checklist and
was heavily involved in the photo selection. Also keep your eyes
